Assistant Vice President/Assistant Manager, Risk Management (Job Ref No.: HR-202119)
Job Responsibilities
The candidate would be mainly involved in credit risk related area and support other risk areas. The candidate would report to Head of Credit Risk for credit risk related area and assist Chief Risk Officer to monitor/operate the credit monitoring control function. The job would mainly cover the followings:
a) Credit Risk and Monitoring:
Review the credit application and provide recommendation to higher level authority for credit approval.
Monitor and control various credit limits of the credit portfolio against risk appetite and risk limits of the Bank.
Perform credit monitoring and post loan monitoring on clients as 2nd line of defence.
Gather market information, monitor the performance of credit facilities to identify early signs of credit deterioration.
Participate in and provide credit advice for pre-deal transaction discussion with Business.
Update credit policies for adherence to relevant regulatory requirements and changing market environment.
Prepare risk portfolio report and act as secretary for Credit Committee on rotation basis.
Involve in ad hoc credit risk projects and deal with HKMA / auditors on credit risk issues.
Engage in the post-approval monitoring process and carry out credit administrative works on rotation basis.
Review the major credit terms of the loan documentation and give comments on the standard templates.
Manage NPL with Business Control team on needed basis.
b) Credit Monitoring Control:
Monitor watch list portfolio review system and coordinate periodic watch list account review meeting for the purpose of identifying early warning signal on the existing portfolio.
Prepare regular credit monitoring reports to senior management.
Job Requirements
Degree holder in any disciplines.
More than 5 years (for Assistant Manager post) or 8 years (for Assistant Vice President post) of experience in corporate/FI credit risk, either as credit analyst from risk/credit management department or as a relationship manager in the frontline in preparing credit application.
Strong analytical mind with sound presentation skill.
Fluency in English and Cantonese, Fluent Putonghua is an added advantage.
Experience in other risk areas (e.g. special assets management, risk policy and procedure review, post-approval monitoring, loan documentation, etc) would be an added advantage.
